IPF-ECC

   INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC FOUNDATION “EXPERIMENTAL CREATIVE CENTER” - IPF-ECC (a.k.a. Kurginyan Center) is an independent public association. It was establishedby a group of political scientists, sociologists, and specialists in cultural studies in1990.  

The Center is led by:

The IPF-ECC runs  THE SUBSTANTIAL UNITY informal political analysis club and YOUTH DEBATE CINEMACLUB. The theater NA DOSKAH (On the Boards) directed by Sergey Kurginyan functions in close contact with the IPF-ECC.

The Kurginyan Center’s principal programs of research cover the following areas:

-      Political Philosophy of Transitional Social Processes

-      Political, Economic, Scientific and Cultural Elites

-      Religious and Cultural Challenges to the Russian Statehood

-      Security of the Russia’s  National Resource Base

-      Processes Developing at the Macro-Regional and Local Levels

-      Principles and Technologies of Management in Unstable distributed systems.

Analytical products prepared by the Center are used by political structures of diverse spectrum, as well as by the state agencies of the Russian Federation.

       Through the years of its existence, the Center published a number of books written by Sergey Kurginyan and other experts.        The socio-political and scientific by-monthly RUSSIA XXI journal has been published since 1993. Well-known Russian and foreign experts, scientists, political essayists and public figures are among its contributors.

Between 1995 and 1998, the Center’s experts authored a page of analytical reports (Face of the Week) in the ZAVTRA (Tomorrow) weekly newspaper. Since 1998, analytical articles written by the Center’s staff have appeared on a regular basis in SLOVO (Word) and other newspapers and magazines. Kurginyan Center experts are permanent guests of different radio and TV talk shows.

The SCHOOL OF INTEGRAL ANALYSIS almanac, which first went to press in 1998, is yet another product of the Center. It provides analytical assessments of the broad spectrum of Russian and global socio-political problems, as well as their theoretical interpretation.

In December 2004, the Center was granted the status

of a NGO, associated with the UN Department of Public Information.

Under the auspices of the Kurginyan Center there works a permanent international seminar, FUNDAMENTAL CONFLICTS IN THE 21^st CENTURY, launched on the initiative of the Russian and Israeli political scientists in December 2001.

        The Center was among the founders of the International Counter-Terrorism Academic Community (ICTAC) created in 2003 to research and counter terrorism.

        In September 2005, the cooperation agreement was signed with the Euro-Asian Social Development Research Institute at the Development Research Center of the China State Council.       

 From 2005 to 2008, in collaboration with India’s Chandigarh Center for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID), the Kurginyan Center conducted a series of seminars and conferences to study the roots of international and regional terrorism, as well as global economic problems.

  In 2009, the Center signed a cooperation agreement with Observer Research Foundation, the leading Indian think-tank. Based on Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation the activity of the two Centers includes regular seminars and conferences, covering a wide range of international issues, as well as publication of books written by the analysts of the two Foundations.
