The SCHOOL OF INTEGRAL ANALYSIS almanac has been published since the spring of 1998, under the editorship of Sergey Kurginyan, the President of the Foundation.
The basic task of the Almanac is to monitor the main global and internal Russian processes. Thoroughly checked out blocks of information on events relating to the tight nodes of Russian and world situation are supplemented by comprehensive analytical comments. Results gained in the process of research are contained in a conceptual summary - Integral Image.
The authors of the Almanac are convinced that the basic problem for the Russian, as well as, for the majority of the global elite groups in today’s complicated and fast changing world, is not even the deficit of resources or means of management, but the lack of ability to comprehend the main aspects of international, regional and internal processes in their interconnection and interdependence. We believe that such a lack of understanding is prone with risks of making decisions and taking actions which may drive our planet to the verge of catastrophe.
Thus, the aim is not only to present the integral assessment of developing situation in Russia and in the world, but to suggest methodology for conducting analysis, too. Accordingly, Almanacdeals with detailed dynamics of the main events unfolding in diverse geographic areas – be it the USA, or Africa; or related to the problems of nonproliferation or ideological transformations in Europe; global geo-economic tendencies or specifics of the political process in Russia.
Possible connections and correlations between processes under discussion, the aims and orientation common to them are unraveled, the attempt is made to detect potential actors, who might be interested in reaching those aims.
Sergey Kurginyan, editor-in-chief of the Almanac, states, that its main objective is to help initiate, at least to a certain extent, a “reflective revolution” or a “revolution in understanding” in the intellectual strata of the Russian society.
